Design and Redesign

For anyone interested, I have added to the design portion of my portfolio page one example of a new redesign of my design project. As I write there, there are still many things left to change…colors, size of images, add text, and certainly to code it. I’ve found through this design process that I do like to do Photoshop mock-ups. If I had taken a snapshot of each version, there would be many, many more to post here. Now, however, it is time to move on to the final…

Thanks for all the suggestions Laura…they were really helpful. I think I’ve figured out how to get everything centered, and I’ve messed around with the logo image…I don’t have that big empty space at the top anymore. I considered making the header image smaller, but haven’t done so yet. I’m afraid it’s too hard to tell what the image is (and what it in the target) for the naval history novices. for now, it’s staying that size.

I’m still having an issue in IE 6 and below in my maincontent. I can’t get it to flot to the right of the page, and line up next to the nav bar like it does in Firefox. Can you tell me where I’m going wrong?

Thanks again for the great comments!
